Gloriana The Queen’s Rowbarge was funded privately and took just five months to build, complying with all safety regulations. Lord Sterling, who initiated the building of Gloriana, underwrote most of the cost in the order of £1.5 million and Eyal Ofer, The Gosling Foundation, The Weston Foundation and Lloyds Register contributed the remaining £500,000. Some items and décor were generously donated over and above these sums. She will also be maintained privately.
